Washington, DC, February 19, 2008 – Environics Communications, Inc., a full-service North American public relations agency, today announced that Jason Crawford has joined the agency's Washington, D.C. office as an account supervisor.
Crawford is a specialist in public relations for technology and telecommunications clients, and will lead the tech/telecom practice for Environics' U.S. operations.
Before joining Environics, Crawford worked for two tech/telecom PR specialty firms in the Washington metropolitan region, where his clients included Backwire, Ciena Corporation, Computer Data Systems, Informix Software, Lockheed Martin, PeopleSoft and USI Incorporated, among others.
He also served as a public relations specialist at COMSAT Corporation, the global, NYSE-traded satellite communications company that founded the commercial satellite industry and was ultimately acquired by Lockheed Martin Global Telecommunications.
Crawford has both a bachelor's degree in communications and a master of business administration degree from George Mason University.
"Environics has a range of technology and telecommunications clients, including some that are new to the firm, and others that have been with us since we opened our Washington office in 2001," said Environics-US General Manager Dave Groobert. "Jason will add his valuable experience and expertise to the teams servicing these clients, and will also spearhead our continued U.S. growth in this market sector."
